You always wanted to wake up ready to seize and conquer the day. Maybe you lived that way at one time. It’s time to get it back.

Men suffer from higher rates of suicide, are more likely to abuse alcohol and other substances, experience lower rates of life satisfaction, and are more likely to be the victim of a violent crime.

Sadly, men are also much less likely to seek professional help.

You don’t talk about your feelings. And if you do, your mind tells you that you’re weak, feminine, inadequate, or worthless. You’re expected to be dominant, and in control, so you can’t ask for help.

Plus, societal expectations get in the way. You’ve been led to believe that real men don’t feel. In fact, you may have been operating under that paradigm for so long that you’re no longer able to recognize the feelings you experience!

When you’ve been told that counseling is for women and weak men – that you don’t need to talk with someone – that you just need to figure it out yourself… well, it’s no surprise that you’re “not interested” in therapy.

And beyond “not interested,” I bet your mind jumped right in and said, “Just talking about your feelings isn’t going to help a damn thing.”

Well, I agree: JUST talking won’t solve your problems.
